ARMY POST IN THE PERSIAN GULF (AP) - An Air Force Senior Master Sergeant was wondering if he might run into his son after noticing a soldier with a 101st Airborne Screaming Eagle patch.
James Sedoris of Louisville has been serving in the Persian Gulf at a location where the 101st has been showing up. Sedoris knew some troops from his son's division were at an Army post where Sedoris had driven for a meeting on September 29th. The 41-year-old Sedoris also saw a communications antenna, which further raised his hopes, since his 20-year-old son is a communications specialist.
The 20-year-old son is Army Private First Class Weston Sedoris. After the two spoke by telephone recently, Sedoris started looking around and found his son in a desert tent near Iraq, chatting with friends.
The elder Sedoris says it was by chance and an act of God that he was able to locate his son. They were able to visit a few more times before parting company.
